Caroline Rogers '23 Makes Boston Her First Marathon
Seventeen-year-old Pingree student Caroline Rogers '23 recently achieved the incredible feat of completing the Boston Marathon, her first-ever attempt at a race that distance. In the process, she raised more than $12,000 for charity.

Pingree School is proud to announce its honor roll recipients for the second trimester of the 2023-2024 academic year. Honor Roll is calculated at the end of each trimester on the basis of the grades earned during that trimester only. Students in the top 10% of each class earn High Honors; students in the second 10% of each class earn Honors; students in the third 10% of each class are placed on the Head of School's List.

Pingree Swim Team Shines at NEPSSA Meet, Capped With NEPSAC Title for Leo Bertone '25
Pingree School is proud to highlight the accomplishments of its swim team after one of its strongest seasons in program history. "There's a tremendously tight family-type bond that exists between swimming teammates; they push each other and they thrive together," Coach Brian Carver shared. "This is a team primed for continued growth and I'm so proud of their efforts." After qualifying at the EIL championship meet in February, eight swimmers for the Highlanders scored points at the New England Prep School Swimming Association (NEPSSA) championship meet on March 4, 2023. Anabella Zullo '26, Leo Bertone '25, and Kira Nielson '24 earned top-10 finishes at the meet. Bertone earned a gold medal in the 100-yard freestyle event and was honored as a NEPSSA champion and All-NEPSAC First Team. The girls team finished third at the EIL championship meet, where every swimmer on the team earned points in two events, the maximum allowed. Pingree Director of Athletics and Afternoon Programs Betsy Kennedy added, "I'm so proud of our Pingree Swim team! Their dedication and determination this season resulted in one of the team's best seasons yet. I can't wait to see what the future holds for this growing program!"

Pingree Inducts Students into Cum Laude Society
On Wednesday, May 12, Pingree School inducted the newest members of the Cum Laude Society, a national organization that recognizes academic excellence, justice, and honor. At the Cum Laude assembly, speaker alumna Erin Thomassen '13 reminded attendees to balance wonder and awe about the future-aspirations about who we will become and our greater purpose-with staying present in the now, even during the messy or mundane moments. Pingree Students Headed to DECA State Competition
Ten Pingree School students will proceed to the DECA State Career Development Conference (SCDC) after a strong performance at the virtual MASS DECA District 3 Career Development Conference held at the end of January 2021. Five Students Named 2021 National Merit Commended Students
Pingree School is proud to announce that five students have been recognized as commended students by the National Merit Scholarship Program (NMSP), which honors individual students who show exceptional academic ability and potential for success in rigorous college studies. According to NMSP, approximately 34,000 commended students across the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Commended students placed among the top 50,000 scorers of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2021 competition by taking the 2019 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
